Stained, yellowed, and discolored teeth can make you feel self-conscious about your appearance. But with take-home teeth whitening in Chapel Hill from Brightside Family Dental, you can restore your smile and your self-confidence. Contact us to schedule an appointment with Dr. Manish Mistry today.
At our office, Dr. Manish Mistry exclusively provides take-home teeth whitening. Our take-home whitening kits provide excellent results and are extremely convenient, making them a great option if you have a busy schedule.
To begin the process, you’ll have to come into our office for a quick fitting. We’ll need to take molds of your teeth to build a set of reusable whitening trays for your treatment. Once you’ve been fitted for your trays, you’ll be sent home.
Then, you’ll come back in a few weeks to pick up your trays and a set of whitening products from Dr. Mistry. He’ll also give you instructions on how to use your whitening kit. Usually, you’ll whiten your teeth for about an hour each day, for several weeks.
By the end of your treatment, you’ll have professional-grade results due to the powerful whitener, and the custom-fitted trays that fit perfectly around your teeth, ensuring even coverage for the whitener.
The biggest benefit of cosmetic dentistry treatments like teeth whitening is that it helps improve your self-confidence and self-esteem. Stained, yellowed, and discolored teeth may make you feel embarrassed about your smile and your appearance.
But by whitening your teeth with take-home treatments from Brightside Family Dental, you can eliminate years of stains and yellowing, and feel proud of your teeth once again. You’ll feel more confident, and you’ll even look younger, since tooth stains can make you look older than you really are.
Yes. Teeth whitening is known to cause mild sensitivity during your whitening treatment. To deal with this, we recommend brushing using an anti sensitivity toothpaste like Sensodyne. You may also wish to avoid consuming very hot or cold foods and drinks throughout the treatment process, as this can make sensitivity worse.
It’s also important to keep brushing regularly. The fluoride in toothpaste helps strengthen your teeth, which are weakened slightly by the peroxide whitener. Consistent brushing will help keep your teeth healthy and reduce sensitivity.
The good news is that teeth sensitivity will go away once you’re done with your whitening treatment. It will start to fade within a few days after you complete the whitening process, and most patients will feel completely normal within 1-2 weeks.
However, if you have problems with sensitive teeth before your treatment begins, we recommend informing Dr. Manish Mistry about your sensitivity. He may wish to make some changes to your take-home whitening treatment, such as reducing the intensity of the whitening compound. This can help reduce sensitivity throughout your treatment.
"I highly recommend Dr. Mistry! He is very thorough and knowledgeable! I recently had a root canal and was nervous about the procedure but Dr. Mistry did an excellent job! He took the time to make sure there was no pain and the healing process went smoothly. He also explained each part of the procedure in a way I was able to fully understand."
"Dr. Mistry was AWESOME. Usually, I am nervous about going to the dentist but he explained the procedure so that I could understand. I left there pain free. My sister Wendy Jarrell referred me and I am grateful.
On behalf of the Jarrell family... We thank you."
"Dr. Mistry did a wonderful job on my teeth, particularly the work he did on a bridge on the left side. I would highly recommend him to anyone for your dental needs!"
"We have your entire well-being in mind, not just your teeth."
