Tooth Extractions
Tooth extractions can be performed for a number of reasons, such as in an emergency procedure after trauma or injury, an overcrowded mouth, or in the event of serious, untreatable tooth decay.
If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort, or if you have an infection caused by a tooth that is damaged beyond repair, Dr. Mistry may recommend a surgical extraction. Simple extractions can usually be performed as long as the tooth still appears above the gum line. Before any extraction is performed, our dentist will provide a thorough dental exam and take digital x-rays to determine the extent of the damage.
Root Canals
Root canal treatment is performed to remove infected areas of the soft, inner section of the tooth, also known as the pulp. When these areas become infected, patients often experience significant pain. Eventually, the entire tooth could die.
